Governor Rick Scott appointed Tom Majdanics, Executive Director of KIPP Jacksonville Schools, to the Florida State College at Jacksonville District Board of Trustees.  He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, a master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, and an MBA from Dartmouth College.

FSCJ serves over 57,000 students and is the largest higher education institution in the First Coast, with over 7,000 students receiving academic degrees and certificates in the past year.

“I am excited at the opportunity to serve on the FSCJ Board of Trustees and strengthen an institution that positively impacts so many lives in Jacksonville,” said Majdanics.

Tom is appointed for a term beginning June 1, 2013, and ending May 31, 2017.
