KIPP VOICE Elementary students achieved top academic performance on annual end-of-year tests in reading and math for the 2012-13 school year.

All KIPP VOICE students take the national “MAP” (Measure of Academic Performance) exam, which allows KIPP VOICE to compare student performance versus millions of students across the nation as well as every KIPP kindergartener in the national network of KIPP schools.

Over 80% of KIPP VOICE scored above grade level in both reading and math.  This ranked among the highest kindergarten performance across the KIPP network.

“We are excited at our student’s progress in their first year of their public education at KIPP VOICE,” said Principal Ashley Ferguson.  “College begins in kindergarten, and I am happy that the hard work of our students, teachers, and families is showing strong results.  We are very encouraged by this early success but are mindful that there is much hard work still ahead for our Class of 2025.”

With extended school days and the smallest kindergarten classes in Jacksonville, KIPP VOICE’s mission is to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, habits and character to be successful in college and in life.
